I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Alabama and my law degree from Cumberland University, where I was a member of the Cumberland Law Review, served as a Cordell Hull Teaching Fellow, and was a quarter-finalist in the Judge James O. Haley Federal Court Competition in 1991. I was also a member of the Cumberland National Trial Advocacy Team, which won the regional ATLA competition in the Spring of 1992.
Following law school, I joined the law firm of Morris, Smith, Cloud, Fees and Conchin, later known as Morris, Conchin, Banks and Cooper when I became a partner. The firm specialized in personal injury and wrongful death cases.
I started my own firm in 2004 to broaden the scope of my practice. In addition to serving as an Executive Board Member of the Huntsville High School Football Boosters, I am a member of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, The Alabama State Bar, The Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. I am married to a Huntsville native and have two children.
